Our aim is to enable and empower young leaders around the world to sustainably transform our agrifood systems.
With youth comprising over 16% of the global population, their involvement in agrifood systems is both significant and promising. Many young people are already active participants along entire value chains.
At YPARD, we run cornerstone programs and implement funded projects with youth and local communities, alongside ODAs, governments, UN agencies, international consortia, and educational institutions. Together, we aim to promote intergenerational exchange and cooperation, leveraging youth energy, creativity, and fresh perspectives to sustainably transform our agri-food systems.
We advocate for a just agrifood systems transformation that allows the full participation of youth in local, regional, national, and international levels.
We support locally-led initiatives and projects by connecting young professionals with training, mentorship programs, events, and advocacy spaces.
We collaborate with youth organisations, educational institutions, UN agencies, governments, and more to promote meaningful partnerships for youth.
YPARD is the sole global, youth-led network with the administrative capability and trackable experience to implement funded projects on the ground.
Young Professionals for Agricultural Development (YPARD) e. V. is registered since 2023 at the Amtsgericht Charlottenburg (Berlin) as an association (eingetragener Verein).
