Ecopreneurship: Launch Green Business for Our Planet

This is inspiring session for young people, experienced business leaders and anyone passionate about environmental restoration, desiring to hone entrepreneurship and/or lead a business with greater social and environmental benefits. Students, early-career professionals and experienced business leaders will reflect on emerging businesses operating at the intersection of the environmental and social dimensions of sustainable development. The conversation will take a deep dive into Ecopreneurship, and the opportunities to create and grow a green business or build a career in the green economy.

Session objectives

• Demonstrate the development process of green start-ups and the vital role of green business in environmental restoration, outlining commercial and environmental success of green enterprises and start-ups with practical examples.
• Highlight the challenges and opportunities for students, young professionals, educators and experienced business leaders who wish to start a business or build a career in the environmental and social sectors.
• Share the norms and attributes investors consider critically in a green business and offer practical ideas on how to finance your business and meet investor needs.
